Our first unit of the school year was on the Middle Ages while reading the book, The Beatryce Prophecy. We painted wooden peg people to make a Feudal system diorama.
We visited Kelley Castle in nearby Tomahawk. The kids completed a scavenger hunt and were knighted as knights of Kelley Castle.
We joined 4H and the kids decided to run for office - Olivia is reporter, and Nolan is the treasurer. They are excited for this new club and the opportunities it offers!
Co-op is beginning again - Nolan has Composition Collective, Gym, Art, and Spanish. Olivia is in Scribbler's Society, Gym, Art, and Spanish. Nolan has Nature Class, Letters from Francis, Gym, and Buddy Class.
Our kids helped our church assemble over 300 school kits to be distributed all over the world through Lutheran World Relief.
We tried our hand at print-making! The kids designed their own coat of arms, then carved it into engraving plates, which were coated with ink by a brayer. Finally we put the paper on top and lifted it up to reveal the print. They turned out so cool!
