First Snow

Despite it only being mid-October, we had our first cumulative snow fall today.  A couple of inches fell this morning and the kids were elated to see the winter wonderland appear before their eyes.  They rushed to get on their winter gear and headed outside to meet up with their neighborhood friends.  They spent the bulk of the day rolling up giant snowballs from the snow in the three yards and built two impressive looking forts.  Though I may not share there enthusiasm for the early snowfall and the cold weather, it kept them busy and they had fun which I consider a win!
