I got to join Nolan's first grade class for their trip to CAVOC the other day. CAVOC is such a cool place, filled with so many fantastic opportunities for learning. The trees were in peak color, so it was especially beautiful. We did arts and crafts, played games outside, took a nature hike, and Smokey the Bear came to visit us to tell us all about fire safety. This year is Smokey's 75th Birthday! I remember him coming to visit when I was in grade school! It is always a treat to get to see our children interact with their teachers and peers. Nolan had a great time and I did, too!
