While we were in Duluth with Grandma and Grandpa, we got some scary news that Sara's water had broken and she was being rushed by ambulance to Wausau. She was 33 weeks pregnant, due in October, and this was obviously not what any of us expected. It was very scary. Sara's contractions began to progress and later that evening, little Ruby Jean was born at 5 lbs 4oz. Fortunately, despite being so early, she did really well. She was able to breathe mostly on her own, but needs to stay in the NICU for several weeks until she is eating, breathing, and growing well enough to go home. We are waiting impatiently to meet our little niece and cousin and are so happy she is doing so well!
