Story Stroll

Our library has been hosting a story stroll in Hodag Park this fall.  They laminate the pages of a book along the walking path, and you read it as you walk.  This book was called Skytree by Thomas Locker and was about the changes a tree goes through during the different seasons.  Then the kids were supposed to take a picture with their favorite tree in the park at the end.

Great Grandma Ruby joined us for the outing, which turned into a little more than we all bargained for.  We picked up Briar House drinks on the way and Olivia dumped her full drink all over the car.  Then when we got to the park, she realized she NEEDED to use the bathroom, but all of the park bathrooms were closed....so, we loaded everyone back up and headed to Briar House for the second time so Livi could use the bathroom and we could have her drink remade.  When we got back to the park, Simon was not too keen on sitting in the stroller for the actual story stroll.  He fussed most of the time.

Fortunately, it was a beautiful day, a cool community opportunity, and we had some time to make memories with Great Grandma.
