Sleep at Last

Eric has been struggling with severe snoring for the last several years.  It had gotten to the point where we couldn't sleep anywhere near each other because the constant roaring, gagging, and choking would keep me up all night.  He finally was able to get in to the Sleep Lab to get a sleep study to evaluate him for sleep apnea.  They discovered that Eric stopped breathing 110 times per hour - nearly every 30 seconds!  His sleep apnea was causing him massive headaches, irritability, forgetfulness, and such an extreme sense of fatigue that he could fall asleep mid-sentence.  So, the doctor ordered him a CPAP machine to be worn every night.  I'm happy to report that it has made a world of  difference for him.  Headaches are gone, mood has improved, and the roaring snoring has subsided...so much so that we can actually sleep in the same bed again.  It was quite the process to get this miracle machine (3 months and $5000 later), but I'm so glad it's providing him with some relief and restful nights.
