Milwaukee Trip - Discovery World

The second day of our trip was spent at Discovery World.  I had never been there before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it ended up being way better that I could have imagined.  We started in the aquarium area and it was fantastic!  There were tanks above, below, and all around us!  It was fun to see all the different creatures!

There was a submarine with a periscope that allowed you to see Lake Michigan outside.

There was a model of the Great Lakes and a deck to go out over Lake Michigan.  The Milwaukee skyline and Art Museum are very beautiful.

There was a whole area of science experiments and robotics.  The kids each got a foam puppet made by a robot.  Nolan and Livi chose dragons while Simon chose a piranha.  There was a virtual reality area and so many cool things to do and try.  We were there for over 5 1/2 hours, and there was still more we could have done!  It was such a great place to visit!

After Discovery World, we went on a little nostalgia adventure to find some of Eric's favorite places from when he lived there.  We found his old apartment and the place where he used to work (Hal Leonard).  We also took the kids to Sprecher and picked out a ton of delicious drinks to try. Later that evening, we took the kids out to Cheesecake Factory for a delicious meal, included yummy drinks and dessert.  It was a very full, but fun day!
