Jim, the painter, came to do some exterior painting this week. With the garage door, service doors, and front door painted, the exterior house project is officially finished! In total, we replaced the cracked wood siding on the windows with maintenance free shakes, painted all the doors and trim, built a small retaining wall, and rearranged the shrubs over the course of the last 18 months. While I'm still not completely wild about the look of our house from the outside (I wish there was a porch or something of more interest), I think it looks distinctly more modern than when we started. And it's taken me a week or two to get used to it, but I'm loving my pretty aqua front door!
