New Pool!

Last year, in the start of covid, I thought about getting a pool for the back yard, but decided against it, thinking it would be a pain and hard to maintain.  This year, we decided to take the plunge, and I'm so glad we did.  It has already provided so many hours of entertainment.  The pump, chemicals, and cover keep it clean and it's actually pretty warm!  On some of these super hot days, our whole family has gone in together!  It has been a great activity to keep our kids occupied at home and I'm so glad we went for it!

June Summer Fun

We painted rocks for our rock gardens.

We took a walk around the trails at the YMCA.  The mosquitoes ate us alive, but it was beautiful back there!

We've eaten A LOT of popsicles!

We spent so much time playing in our pools, water table, and sprinklers in the front yard.

Nolan used a baking kit to make cookies all by himself.  He decided to wear his swat team uniform while glazing them.  He did a great job!

We made bubble foam and played with it in our pools.

We washed Mommy's car.

We took the kids to Pioneer Park to explore the museums and see the trains, and we got a drink from Briar House on the way.

We made ice paint and used it to make a giant welcome home banner for Daddy.

We made boats out of aluminum foil and had a contest to see whose could hold the most pennies.  Olivia's won, but it was so fun we tried it three times!

Simon comforts Nolan after he fell on the sidewalk.

The kids had fun smashing ice cubes with little hammers.

Tea parties remain a favorite activity with Olivia and Simon joined today too!
