Christmas at the Orys

Our Christmas celebrations this year began with an afternoon with the Orys.  We headed over to Steve and Patti's on Friday afternoon for some gift opening, food, and time spent together.  The kids loved opening their presents (and so did Mommy and Daddy!), though Grandma and Grandpa may have gone a teensy bit overboard. ;) Olivia got a lifelike kitty cat, that meows and moves when you interact with it, as well as a baby buggy, and a new CD player for her room.  Nolan got his very own pair of kids snowshoes and he's excited to try out at the cabin soon!  He also got a HotWheels car track, and a much anticipated marble maze.  He was elated!

The best part, however, was getting to spend some time together.  We are so blessed to have a family that loves to be together.  We have so many places to go around the holidays, that we can't possibly attend all of the gatherings.  And despite that disappointment and sometimes frustration that comes with trying in vain to get everywhere, we are so very blessed to have so many people that want to celebrate with us.  We are very grateful for our loving, supportive families and are glad we got to spend some time celebrating and laughing with the Orys this Christmas.
